Edward M. Kweskin PARTNER

Edward Kweskin’s practice includes marital and family law, real estate law, and wills, trusts and estates. Ed was educated at the University of Pennsylvania (B.A. 1968) and George Washington University Law School (J.D., with honors, 1971). Ed has lectured on family law issues, served as Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Stamford/Norwalk Regional Bar Association for two terms, and serves as a Special Masters for family matters in Stamford and Bridgeport for the Connecticut Superior Court.

In 2017 the Connecticut Bar Association honored Ed with its Anthony DeMayo Pro Bono Award.  Ed also received a special recognition award from Connecticut Legal Services, Inc. for his “remarkable pro bono legal representation” of one of its clients.  Ed still continues to volunteer his professional services providing free legal assistance to clients of Connecticut Legal Services.

Ed was elected the 2013-15 President of the Bell Island Improvement Association, Inc. (his second term in that office), and was for 10 years the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Sixth Taxing District (Rowayton) in Norwalk (and was for seven years before that a commissioner). He is a past president of the Stamford/Norwalk Regional Bar Association, Temple Sinai in Stamford, and the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Club of Fairfield County. Ed is recognized in International Who’s Who of Professionals and Who’s Who in American Law.   In 2015, Ed earned a Ten Best in Client Satisfaction Award from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. He is also Distinguished rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
