Partner Daniel Young has been appointed by City of Stamford Mayor Pavia, and approved by the Board of Representatives, to serve a second term on the City's Board of Ethics. Attorney Young was originally appointed by Democrat Mayor Malloy in 2005, and in May, 2009, he was elected chairperson of the Board. Following the change in administration, Republican Mayor Pavia re-appointed Attorney Young to serve on the Board.
The Board of Ethics is charged with enforcing Stamford's Code of Ethics. It investigates ethics complaints and issues advisory opinions regarding compliance with the Code of Ethics. Retired Wofsey, Rosen partner Howard Kaplan drafted the City's first Code of Ethics in the late 1960s while serving as the Majority Leader of the City of Stamford's Board of Representatives.
