Firm Obtains $835,700 Verdict for Former Employee

Partner Daniel Young recently achieved a verdict of $835,700 in a highly unusual case involving an employer who refused to permit a former employee to leave the workplace for several hours after she had sought to leave.  The jury's verdict included $500,000 for emotional distress damages and $175,000 in punitive damages, in addition to amounts for psychological treatment and lost wages.  Prior to trial, the largest settlement offer made by the defendant was $25,000.  Through the bravery of the firm's client and the hard work of Mr. Young, assisted by several firm attorneys who focus on employment matters or personal injury cases, the firm was able to secure justice for its client.
