$25,000 University of Connecticut Neag School of Education Scholarship Announced

Steve Grushkin, on behalf of the firm and as trustee of the Herbert and Sarah M. Gibor Charitable Foundation, has announced that the foundation in conjunction with Wofsey, Rosen, Kweskin & Kuriansky, LLP, has established a $25,000 endowed scholarship at the University of Connecticut, Neag School of Education.  The scholarship was established to benefit deserving students at the School.  Recipients are selected based on a proven track record of academic success.  In May of 2009 two students received the scholarship. Grushkin feels that "when barriers to an education can be reduced or eliminated, every student benefits from a learning community that includes talented, qualified individuals from all backgrounds". He believes further that we should assist in any way we can to "help develop motivated students with potential leadership qualities and strong ethical standards into educators in order to improve and enhance quality of life in our society".
