$25,000 University of Connecticut Law School Scholarship Established

Wofsey, Rosen, Kweskin & Kuriansky announces the creation of the "Herbert and Sarah M. Gibor Charitable Foundation - Wofsey, Rosen, Kweskin & Kuriansky, LLP Endowed Scholarship" at the University of Connecticut School of Law. The scholarship will be awarded yearly to deserving law students whose accomplishments evidence their potential to make valuable contributions to the legal community upon graduation. Among other criteria, recipients will be selected based upon their demonstrated efforts to pay their own educational expenses. Partner Steven Grushkin, trustee of the Gibor Foundation, noted, "We are very pleased to be recognizing and easing the burden on law students who have shown both the need for assistance and an impressive motivation to fund their own education." Grushkin, who serves as co-managing partner of Wofsey, Rosen, continued, "Some of our attorneys worked day and night jobs to finance their college and law school education. While we value those experiences, we also know how difficult it can be to work while attending school. By providing financial relief to those who have demonstrated their drive and commitment to their studies, we hope to ease part of the toll the high cost of education imposes on our scholarship recipients."
